What our patients say
„Discharge from Sf. Ioan hospital for my father. The Ambulanță Rapidă crew carried him up to the 4th floor, no elevator, without any hesitation. I recommend them wholeheartedly."
„Since the beginning of the year they have been taking me to hemodialysis three times a week. Not a single delay, and by now the crew knows me like a friend."
„My dad cannot get out of bed and I had no way to take him to his MRI by myself. The team carried him down, stayed with him at the clinic and brought him back to his room. A huge help."
„Transfer with a medical crew from Colentina to Fundeni for my mother. They spoke directly with both wards and handed her over to the doctors with her full file. Zero stress for us."
„They brought my mother from a hospital in Cluj-Napoca all the way home to Berceni. Hundreds of kilometers, with monitoring, rest stops and a crew that literally held her hand."
„My brother-in-law was brought back from Germany after an accident. They handled all the paperwork and the liaison with the hospital there — within days he was already admitted in Bucharest."

What does a private ambulance ride cost in Bucharest?+
An unassisted ride starts at 300 RON when booked the day before (07:30-17:00 window) and 400 RON for same-day requests. Rides with an emergency medical crew start at 700 RON; in Ilfov the base fare is 400 RON. The full list is published at /en/pricing.
How long until the ambulance reaches my address?+
Pre-booked rides arrive exactly at the agreed hour. Same-day requests are usually served within 15-60 minutes, depending on free crews (a 100 RON rapid-dispatch fee applies). If a life is at risk, always dial 112 first.
Can you take a patient to another county?+
Of course — we depart from the Bucharest-Ilfov area to any destination in Romania. Unassisted rides cost 4 RON/km plus a 350 RON base fee; rides with a medical crew are 5 RON/km plus 700 RON. Kilometres count both ways and you get the sum in writing before departure.
Do you handle trips abroad or medical repatriation?+
Yes. We drive patients anywhere in Europe with our own ambulances (1 EUR/km unassisted, 1.5 EUR/km with a medical crew) and bring patients home from the EU and the UK — by road, with a medical escort on a scheduled flight, or by air ambulance.
How is a private ambulance different from 112?+
112 is the free public service you call when a life is in danger. Ambulanță Rapidă takes over everything that can be planned: the ride home after discharge, moves between hospitals, dialysis or oncology sessions, clinic appointments, plus national and international trips.
